10 Feb Say hello to Molly Lopresti!
London based marimba teacher Molly Lopresti is now taking on new students!
Molly is a Southgate-based marimba specialist but also is hugely experienced in a variety of percussion. She is currently tutoring in three areas of percussion. Firstly, Molly tutors is tuned percussion (which includes vibraphone and xylophone). Secondly, she is giving lessons in pop percussion (including congas, shakers and hand percussion). Thirdly, Molly is available to teach orchestral percussion (which includes snare drum, clash cymbals and bass drum amongst many others!)
Molly holds a BMus (Hons) from the prestigious Guildhall School of Music & Drama. She is also a 2012 finalist in the BBC Young Musician of The Year competition. Later that same year, Molly both spoke and performed at a TEDx conference at Warwick Arts Centre.
Molly was also the percussionist for the UK tour of In Their Own Words, a new verbatim opera. She’s also played for the show Wild, which toured across the UK and the USA. In the same year Molly worked with Nonclassical and Dash Arts for Late at the Library: Sounds of a Revolution. This event was curated by Gabriel Prokofiev and took place at the British Library.
We’re so very lucky to be able to connect this amazing tutor to new students!
Want to see Molly in action? Catch Molly on the upcoming Modern Romance gig. It’s at the 229 Venue in Great Portland Street on 23 February 2018.
